This is a great looking SA tinnie with a striking design made in stamped tombak. Take a look at the date. The event was held (according to the tinnie) on June 30th until July 1st 1934. June 30th was when the night of the long knives started! So what of this event? Was it cut short due to the purge? Did the event even take place at all? A fascinating tinnie that’s sure to get you thinking. Rare, these might not have even been given out in mass due to the knight of the long knives.
