SMGL-3061 Field Marshal Rundstedt Family Funeral letters

Fascinating items here for the Rundstedt collector who thinks he has everything! The letter is a funeral notice for Rundstedt’s wife Luise, dated October 4 1952. This is paired up with a envelope to a Major D.B. Topham in England. The other letter is on card stock and is from a relative, perhaps niece or sister, expressing thanks for the “warm hearted participation in our great sorrow for the beloved deceased” and is dated March 1953, which would line up perfectly with the Fiel Marshal’s death in Feb 1953. This one must also have been sent to major D.B. Topham and obviously after the first letter.
