SMGM-0027 NSRKB Veteran gorget for 50 years service. With engraved name

Here is your chance to own a rare gorget from the NSKRB! This one is in fantastic shape showing only minor wear and no chipping on the enamel.  All of the black felt backing material is present but im certain in has been reglued in spots to hold it on. It is stamped “3” on one of the reverse tabs. The front design is near mint with minor wear and a perfect enamel shield. There is a small “haze” in the right corner, which looks to be a defect in the manufacture process. It is not distracting to the piece though. The chain is 55 links and in very good condition. These lings are a little fragile because they are stamped tin, so it’s nice to see this one in nice shape.

What makes this one stand out further from the normal ones is the addition of the 50-year service enamel. This is a rarely seen addition for obvious reasons. 25-year ones are way more common, and they are hard to find. Also, the top is professionally engraved “Urach (Württ.)” A rare opportunity to get a scarcer version of this amazing gorget design.

This is the Gorget of the Reichskriegerbund ‘Kyffhauser’ during the times of the Third Reich. In the name of Gleichschaltung, the Kyffhauserbund was nazified after the Nazi takeover of power in 1933. Five years later, its name was altered to “NS-Reichskriegerbund ‘Kyffhauser’ e.V.” (Nationalsocialist Reich Warriors Association ‘Kyffhauser’), becoming the sole and exclusive organization representing the Veterans’ interests in the Third Reich.
