SMGM-0079 Indian Made 1944 Lee Enfield Bayonet with Tropical frog

Marked “II* N.W.R. 44” on the bladeA top condition example with a nearly perfect blued blade. I don’t think this bayonet was ever issued. This one also has the rare treat of a tropical style frog on the scabbard that is marked “MS&B LTD 1940”. An interesting combination. The type of frog is sewn around the scabbard lug, so I can only assume these frogs were made in such numbers that they were using 1940 gear on 1944 blades because of excess production. I can’t imagine this is a miss matched set since they are both in mint condition. I’ve seen these bayonets in lesser condition and never with the frog. So this is a nice treat.
