SMGM-3211 27″ Railway Eagle by GPH

1 in stock

These GHP eagles can be found on page 203-205 in “Third Reich Reichsbahn Eagles” by Wilhelm P.B.R. Saris. This particular version by GHP shown on page 205 is particularly interesting because of the crude casting on the back, but fine cast details on the front. The exact casting fingerprints can be seen on this eagle as in the book. The maker “GPH” is not yet know but could possibly be Gustav Hahl from Pforzheim. This eagle is in great condition outside of two holes drilled into it for hanging.  The threaded posts have been cut down to sit flush on a wall. it’s clear to see that at least two of the studs were cut off using very large bolt cutters. Also, you can see hand filing around the entire perimeter during the deburring process. These eagles continue to go up in value and are a great investment.
