A young picture of Josef in this civilian ID book. The picture is excellent and shows him in what looks like a private school uniform. He was KIA Dec 1943 (21 years of age). He was awarded the black wound badge, Infantry Assault badge, and Iron Cross first and second classes per his Death Card.
