A detailed and well written letter from his unit NCO to the Westermaier family. Dated Mai 1944. A nice look into the letter writing duties of a Hauptfeldwebel. Would pair nicely with Westermaier’s death card which is also available.
He was KIA Dec 1943 (21 years of age).
He was awarded the black wound badge, Infantry Assault badge, and Iron Cross first and second classes per his Death Card.
