Description
My translation isn’t that good but it basically says that Josef is dead and with his comrades (dead in a field?) and that the brother Nikolaus is getting released from POW camp or something of that nature. Talk about having a bad day after reading a letter!
He was KIA Dec 1943 (21 years of age). He was awarded the black wound badge, Infantry Assault badge, and Iron Cross first and second classes per his Death Card.
