SMGN-0762 Japanese Type 30 Arisaka Last Ditch Bayonet by Heijo Ordnance Factory/Jinsen Arsenal

A scarce Arsenal in amazing condition! It’s kinda strange to say that this “last ditch” type bayonet is in near mint condition due to the crude unrefined nature of it. It looks like it could have been ground nicer by Fred Flintstone! The blade has all the factory darkening and was never messed with. The factory edge is sharp down a little less then half way and then unsharpened the rest of the way. Very strange but this is how it was done at the factory. The wood grips and hilt show typical wear from being knocked around in surplus bins for 80 years. The scabbard is remarkably dent free and shows very little oxidation. The other crazy cool part of this item is the press paper and canvas frog. It is in very fine condition for something that likely deteriorates with water! A fine but “crappy” addition to your bayonet collection!
