SMGN-1402 WW1 Era German Naval Flieger Gruppe Flag

A super rare flag! If you are like me, you probably never saw another one before! This bad boy is large at 13feet x about 78 inches. There is “FWB” hand embroidered on the hoist end. The Hoist rope has been cut flush with the end of the flag. There are moth holes and soiling as you can see.

The amazing plane propeller seems to be put on with a with a stencil at first, and then hand detailed and outlined by a master artist. I’m still not 100% sure this flag is ID’d correctly so if you know more, please shoot me an email.

Just a stunning and rare example that would be a tremendous back drop for a WW1 display!
