Description
This brass horn stands nearly 17 inches. The Horn has no large dents, just a few small ones that are not distracting. The bell end is particularly nice and hard to find with no damage like this. The bell is accented in copper. The horn is fitted with a stainless steel or chrome plated mouth piece. The mouth piece has a metal reed style insert like a woodwind…im not sure of the correct name for this. It is not an open mouthpiece like on a trumpet or bugle. The horn has a braised on early type SA style eagle with flattened and muted features which is typical of SA horns and bugles from this era. I assume the needed to flatten the piece for braising it on the horn and endless polishing are part of the reason for the look. The suspension rings are in great shape with no issues.
