Description

This dagger has the typical copper looking Weyersberg finish. The dagger is a late period example being constructed of pot metal and lacking detail on the scabbard. The scabbard throat is missing the two flush head screws. The pommel and cross guard show metal stress cracks which indicate the company was forced to use inferior metal and the quality of the end product shows. The grip is the celluloid over wood type. As far as these type goes, this one is one of the best ones I’ve seen, having no cracks or major issues. The scabbard is dent free but does show some wear and finish loss. The blade is the un chromed variety, again, a late period cost savings. The blade motif is the fouled anchor. The blade condition is pretty good with no oxidation or bad runner marks. The edges do suffer from a few dings though. So overall, a good value dagger.
