SMGO-1685 Hitler youth knife by RZM M7/13 – Arthur Schüttelhofer & Co.

This knife is in decent used condition with some oxidation and plate loss on the hilt. there is a small chip in the grip plate on the diamond side and looks like the assembler got a little too aggressive grinding the plate on the other side as it’s a bit shy of flush. Contrary to popular belief, mistakes like this happen. The diamond is damage free and has that nice springy feel we like to observe. The blade does have a rather aggressive non factory grind to it, which was a common thing for the kids to do. It has some other wear and oxidation but really doesn’t seem like it was used too much like some of the blades we see. The scabbard is dent free with significant paint loss and the female end of the snap on the leather is missing. Not a perfect knife, but i think the nice diamond and deep RZM stamp make up for some of the other issues.
