SMGP-0176 Silver Wound badge by Hauptmünzamt Marked 30

This interesting wound badge affords us the opportunity to see how thick the silvering can be and unevenness of the whole application. On the back we see a really thick layer that has begun to flake off from the zinc base metal. On the front, we see finish loss at the bottom of the award but it’s not nearly as thick. An interesting study for sure!
