A National Social People’s Welfare (NSV) Weser-Ems Door Plate; “Nationalsozialistische Volkswohlfahrt”. Silvered die-stamped zinc alloy, illustrating the National Social People’s Welfare insignia in the centre, inscribed “MITGLIED DER N.-S. VOLKSWOHLFAHRT” above and “GAU WESER-EMS” below, 74.7 mm, three drilled holes for door mounting.
The Nationalsozialistische Volkswohlfahrt (NSV), meaning “National Socialist People’s Welfare”, was a social welfare organization during the Third Reich. The NSV was established in 1933, shortly after the NSDAP took power in Germany.
