Maschinenobergefreiter Bruno Rzonca was one of 115 survivors of nearly 2500 men aboard German Battleship Bismarck when she was scuttled on May 27, 1941. He was born in Marienwerder, East Prussia (now Poland), on May 19, 1918. He spent some 6 1/2 years in various POW camps, and was released in 1947.
