SMGP-1573 Dachau liberated SS armband *SOLD

This vet family acquired armband is sold with the original display that the vet had used. I can’t say for sure how long its been in there, but when removed for inspection the glass at the cloudy imprint of the swastika, so dozens of years at least. The armband is gently stapled to a cardboard backing and can be easily removed if desired. No glue was used. The Armband was originally sized for the wearer and then the stitch was taken out to make the armband more appealing for display. This is a rare opportunity to get an armband that was actually worn, supposedly by someone in Dachau. The details from the vets family are hazy at best, but it is believed he was part of an occupying force in Dachau at some time. Many of these Dachau armbands are brand new from supply buildings, this one is not. It was clearly issued and worn, as can be seen from the wear patterns on the banding. So if you are looking for a really amazing piece of history that actually has a wearer behind it, this is a great addition to your collection.
