SMGP-936 Iron Cross 1st class L/19 Brass core *SOLD

Well, you may have been looking for this hard to find cross for some time and we found one for you! This one came out of a framed grouping from a member of the elite mountain troops. The condition is excellent, retaining most of the black paint with just hint of the brass showing. The L/19 mark is clear at the bottom on the reverse. This is a little scrape at the top that looks to be more recently acquired, but I’m sure in time it will fade to match the rest of the cross. Don’t wait…you may wait years to see another. If you are not aware, brass cores did exist and genuine ones are exceedingly rare.
