SMGQ-0256 Invasion Money & note

These two paper money notes come with a note from and admin officer (captain at the time) Charlie Gebhardt  from the 9th US army. The note reads : “The US printed invasion money for all the different countries until access to “real” money could be obtained as the armies advanced. I/we equipped the 82nd airborne division with real French money before the(y) parachuted in June 6.”
