Description
Sent home from an admin officer (captain at the time) Charlie Gebhardt from the 9th US army. This is a roughly 24″x18″ section of nylon (silk was not available due to the war with Japan).
There is note with it that says it was from D Day and obtained in the Ste. Mere Eglise area of Normandy. A very neat item.
