SMGQ-0304 Map of England and Wales Early From 9th army D+30 vet 1940’s

This detailed civilian map was used by admin officer (captain at the time) Charlie Gebhardt from the 9th US army. You can see his notes about hotel information on it.  He put stickers on the map and sent it back home. The stickers say “home office w/general hospital”,  “30 days with the 82nd airborne up to D-day”, “Landed from USA “mauretania” A nice cruise ship”,  “3 Day pass- air raid while on move (they missed)” and “Departed D+30 in high convoy for the Normandy beaches”.

Really neat stuff and the map is in near mint condition!
