Description

These are early made knives that were private purchased. At first, they look like a short parade bayonet. Upon closer look you will see there is no blood groove that would see on most parade bayonets. There is also no chrome finish and there is a functional lug attachment. It’s also factory sharpened to cut at the factor, unlike the dulled edge of a true parade bayonet. This one is in great shape considering the lack of chrome to protect the blade. I’m sure I’ve seen an interwar catalogue with this blade but i can’t seem to find it at the moment to see if it actually has a model #. It’s an uncommon knife in uncommon condition. The only problem is that the scabbard is not correct and is for a regular parade bayonet. The proper one is shorter and has a leather belt loop on it, similar to traditional boot knives.  might be a good idea to scoop this one up while you can and wait for a poor condition example to surface later and snag the scabbard off of it.
