SMGR-0078 Custom ordered Mini 1914 iron cross

This is the first I’ve seen like this. First, it’s enameled, which we know was an option some firms had available via special order, but they called it “glass”. Second, the back says “2. Komp.Bayer. Arm. Batl. No5”. I would assume this was some kind of larger order for multiples. It had to be big enough to make doing them worth the time of making a new die just for this particular unit. The cross is 23mm and is extremely attractive
