SMGL-2593 Red Cross Hewer for Enlisted men *SOLD

This is really a super dagger! These are hard to find in great shape like this one. This is one of the best ones I’ve come across and I have no doubt you will love it in your collection! The blade is really fine, showing only some very minor surface oxidation marks and light runner wear. There are a few small nicks to the un sharpened blade as well. The non ferrous hilt/tang/pommel combo is in fabulous shape as well with the nickel plating holding up extremely well. It shows only the smallest signs of plate bubbling. This area of these daggers can be a real eyesore on lesser condition daggers. The oval shield with the eagle does show a wear mark or nick at the bottom, but it’s not a glaring issue in my opinion. The scabbard is dent free and has held up well also. There is some minor oxidation but nothing concerning. The amount of paint remaining is really good compared to what we normally see. Lots of these have a repainted scabbard, but not this one! This is one of the best ones I’ve come across and I have no doubt you will love it in your collection!
