Badge for Volks-Deutsche in Croatia.  This “DEUTSCHE VOLKSGRUPPE IN KROATIEN” badge for Ethnic Germans in WW2 Croatia is nicely made in silver plated tomback and finished with different colored enamels being worn by members of the Ethnic German minority in that country.  It was from this group that a number of volunteers for the 7th-Volunteer-Waffen-SS-Mountain-Division “Prinz-Eugen” originated.  The badge is nicely made from silver and red and black enamel. It has no damage to it of any kind. This badge entitled many of the holders to special privileges as well as automatic entry into the SS. It is a very scarce badge with only a line drawing shown in the book Foreign Legions of Third Reich Vol 4 on page 380.

This rare badge is small at 21.65×12.60mm but has gorgeous enamel work and no enamel damage. The pin catch on the back has been twisted a bit, likely from being forcibly removed.
