Well, these are a bit controversial from what I’ve read. Most of the collecting community like them, but there is a minority that does not.  It’s does not seem to be common enough to be a fantasy item. The ones that do exist all have different numbers. There are a few different construction styles (zinc/brass) and a few different airbases. Different colors supposedly allowed for different security access. There isn’t enough information about them right now to dismiss them in my opinion. That being said, I did see a version (different airbase) of this that looked horrible with a non 3rd Reich style pin, so i think there are bad ones of these out there.  So, with that in mind, if you like it, buy it. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it.
