SMGM-3085 German Officers Visor by EREL “Double Logo”

A desirable quality maker. This private purchase visor remains in excellent condition. The eagle is a two brass prong style in great shape. The cockade is the proper vented mess style for this maker. There are a few moth nips on the wearer’s left side. One on the green felt and one on the grey trikot. There  are a few nips to the piping on the top, but they are on the side mostly and don’t distract from the piece. The bullion officer’s cord/strap is nearly perfect with just a bit of oxidation on the wearers left side on the underside of the button post. The visor brim is in near mint condition. Inside we have a still soft and malleable leather sweatband with the “Erel patent strirngchutz”. The rounded diamond moisture shield is only slightly discolored and protects the fantastic Erel Extra logo. There are sweat stains to the green rayon. The leather sweatband has period German newspaper neatly folded up behind it to help retain the shape and absorb moisture. The original owner also removed the stiffening rings to give it a mor relaxed look. Overall, a top notch visor here!
