Description

Well if you like em with 90 years of salt, sweat and nickel oxidation in on touch form…this is for you! Honestly, it’s hard to find them this way because of the temptation to clean them up a bit. This one is really a nice one under all that film. Early fittings all around with a TH marked guard. The pommel nut is more than finger tight and doesn’t appear to have been touched since the war. The grip, eagle and roundel are all in good, aged condition. The blade is a very nice example having survived this long without acquiring any major oxidation and still present with it’s factory edge and most of the factory cross grain. There are runner marks and some hazy little spots but overall, it’s a very nice blade. The scabbard has seen better days but fits with the old tired theme. the ball end is smashed up pretty good and the scabbard shell has a layer of oxidation on it’s entirety. These types of daggers are sought out by many and passed up by just as much. It’s a love hate type of piece.
