SMGO-0333 Triple Etched Presentation Lions head sword by Alcoso

A gorgeous, rare sword with the main panel etched “6. Preuss. Art. Rgt.” (6th Prussian Artillery Regiment). On the same side depicts a cavalryman with saber drawn and a horse bust. The reverse side shows mounted Artillery men moving a gun. The etching is mint with no issues and very minor wear.  34″ blade length. A pleasure to examine. There are two knicks in the blade edge past the halfway mark. Someone must have had sword fight in play at some point. Still, a phenomenal looking sword. The bade is maker marked Alcoso. The blass lions head hilt looks great with no major condition problems. Nice problem free ruby eyes adorn the lion head. The grip wire is tight throughout and a good condition portepee is included. The scabbard is dent free and has some light finish loss and oxidation. A really nice piece that doesn’t come around too often.
