SMGL-174 Early HJ Knife by Anton Wingen Jr. *SOLD

This is a good overall example with average wear. The blade motto is still deep and crisp, which is nice to see. The steel hilt/tang is in pretty good shape with some minor oxidation in spots. The grip diamond is nice with a minor enamel inclusion on the red point nearest the blade. The diamond doesn’t have any play but I don’t’ fear any messing around with it. If you look, thee is a slight bow to the grip blade which I believe has put tension on the diamond and keeps it from moving around. The scabbard is dent free, but there is significant paint loss. The dark brown leather is liable but has torn at the top, rendering the button un functional. I think all in all this is a good price for an early piece with some average condition issues.
