SMGL-2144 Early NSDAP Political pennant SS/SA *SOLD

This thing is just bad ass, there is no two ways about it! It’s 13″x8.5″, so it’s the typical smaller size profile you would see used on ridged car pennants. It seems to have has two brass loops sewn on it at some point. It’s possible this was hung vertically with others, but I can’t find any period photos of this. These earlier items can be tough to even properly identify, there just aren’t many of them around. The quality of this is amazing. Extremely fine detail embroidery on both sides. The wreath even has pink bands in it! Presumably they were red originally. The pennant is two ply (insert toilet paper joke) with single reinforced long ends and triple reinforced on the short end. One side has some soiling, while the other side is nearly blemish free. I would assume due to the cost of making such a piece, it would have been used for a very special event or owned by a high ranking SA/SS or other political official. A rare treat you won’t be finding again soon!
