SMGL-2327 Rural Police dress bayonet by E&F Horster *SOLD

The Rural police bayonets are noted for their brown leaner scabbards and brown frogs. They are more desirable then the usual city police. This one is in great shape with number matching hilt and scabbard. The blade has nice chrome with some minor wear and the tip has some oxidation, which we usually see with these in this area. The leather is still soft and it was easy to take the frog off to see the markings on the scabbard. As you can see from the verdigris, this hasn’t been touch in a very long time. There are a few dents in the scabbard tip, but the rest of the leather looks pretty great. The blade slides freely in and out of the scabbard. The leather frog is dated 1937 and maker marked Rothe, Sattlerei Branschweig and is a desirable item by itself. A real nice police bayo here!
