SMGL-2435 1914 OLDENBURG Friedrich August Cross 1st Class Private purchase screw back

This is a pre third Reich private purchase screw back. likely 1920’s production. War time issued versions are steel with a pin back. This one, brass and with what I believe is the incorrect back plate. The proper plate was larger and you can see signs of wear on the reverse where the original plate came in contact with the finish. A nice quality award.
