Description

A fantastic opportunity to get a 3.5×5″ photo with Gerhard’s post war signature in black ball point. As a bonus, it includes the envelope sent to Emilie Caldwell Stewart, a well known paper work expert and author. It’s possible this was in her personal collection at one point. The envelope is signed again on the back. Also included is a personalized note card to Stewart on a commemorative knights cross card. Also included is a photo copied excerpt of a reference book with a note and signature from Studemann.  A nice combination of items for someone looking for a little more than just a signature.

From Military wiki:

(19 June 1920 – 6 December 1998) was a highly decorated Hauptmann in the Luftwaffe during World War II, and one of only 882 recipients of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. The Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross and its higher grade Oak Leaves was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Gerhard Stüdemann is credited with destroying 117 tanks in 996 missions.[Notes 1]
