SMGN-0872 Army dagger with Galalith grip by WKC

I thought this was painted over wood at first due to the washed out color. Turns out it is just a handsomely aged Galalith grip. If you are not familiar with these, they are scarce and are made from Milk by products. Also called Milkstone. These due tend to form spidering in the top layer of material exposed to the air. This one is on the extreme side and the look has taken on a vintage cracked white paint appeal.  For me, the antique look is very appealing. The rest of the dagger shows some polish residue and is in pretty good condition. The only real negative on this dagger is someone really polished up the blade, so even though it looks nice, it’s a bit over the top. A nice example to have in your collection though.
