Description

A totally untouched early dagger that still shows some grime where the guard meets the blade. you can clean it up if you like, but some people like this look so we left it alone. The early nickel fittings have a light-yellow look to them and are matching from guards to scabbard fittings. The lower guard is area marked B. The scabbard has one tiny dent and some light oxidation, but the anodized finish is 95% intact. The factory clear coat is a bit hazy. There is a typical dent in the lower ball end. All the scabbard screws are matching and are in unturned condition. The grip is fantastic showing excellent early quality workmanship and fitment. There is a bit of gloss coat gone from the back of the grip in the middle. The pommel nut is un turned and more than finger tight so there is really no reason to fiddle with it. Nothing good can come from taking a perfect dagger like this apart. The blade has an odd oxidation spot near the Haco logo and is really the only reason i didn’t keep this for my personal collection or price it higher. The blade dos have some rather noticeable runner marks but is oxidation free and nearly mint otherwise. This is not a mint dagger but the quality of it and fact that it has never been messed with should put it at the top of your list.
