SMGN-1039 Reichsbahn Train Eagle 24″

A handsome eagle with a currently unknown maker with a stylized “B” logo. They use code ZRA10 BLN on the eagle. The eagle has a black coating on the back that was used as an anti-oxidation feature. At some point, the maker info was cleaned of this coating to better show it off. The “AL Mg Si” is the element content of the alloy.  We can see the eagle was painted white at some point while on the train car or possibly while on display somewhere else. Hard to say for sure. The white paint was removed at another unknown time, but easy to see the remnants in the recessed areas. The posts are fully threaded and full of old paint and debris accumulated over the years. Plenty of hand filing on the edges like we like to see on originals.  Sure to make a visual impact in your display.
