Description
This is a well-worn example that is uncleaned and unpolished. Most of the gilding has been lost but some is still visible. The base brass has taken on a reddish look. the portepee is original to the dagger and shows some wear and fraying but is in good condition and matches the rest of the dagger perfectly. The grip looks great and has no hidden damage. The blade is a killer, showing only light wear and oxidation and rates a 9 out of 10 with a gorgeous, fouled anchor motif. A really nice honest looking piece here.
