SMGO-0277 Teno Leader Dagger

An opportunity to pick up a rare dagger at a pretty good price! This one has a VERY dark scabbard which was an artificial aging that Eickhorn did at the factory. The scabbard is dent free but does have a few oxidation spots particularly on one side. Not too unsightly though. The blade is in full mint condition! The stamped serial # is 1616 and matches the throat of the scabbard. the cross guard has the nice looking artificial aging and has very minor wear and just a small spot or two of finish loss. The grip is mint with no signs of chips or cracks including under the portepee. The pommel is handsome as well but does show some plate lifting at the very top which is only noticeable from a top down look or viewing from the rear. The portepee is the one acquired with the dagger and has been in place for a long time. Visually, one of the most impressive daggers of the Third Reich in my opinion.  A tough dagger to come by that is missing in many collections.
