SMGO-0794 Voos Army Dagger With Aluminum Fittings

So this is a rare combination of aluminum fittings that Voos apparently did offer at some point. I was able to track down a few other examples online. They all have the same pattern guard with muted features. This one unfortunately has a cracked grip that is very old but does hold together fine with proper pommel tension. If you loosen the pommel you will see there is complete separation but no bits and pieces falling out. The blade shows some significant plate lifting but it’s still a rather pleasant looking blade being plated and all. The scabbard is dent free but does show some oxidation. It’s a rather tight fit under the guard so you have to give it a sharp snap to close it. A very interesting dagger and rare to find. Straight out of a veterans foot locker from the 108th engineers named Carl Fetting. The footlocker hasn’t been touched in 80 years so you can bet this dagger has never been tampered with and these are the correct fittings as Carl found it.
