SMGO-0848 Hitler Youth Knife by Eickhorn 1938

Here is a top condition HJ! It has a factory edge and factory polished surface. It’s interesting to see that the stamping process lifts up the metal just a bit to cause wear from the runner but all the low spots remain minty. These 1938 examples are known to have a deep stamp making the marks very pronounced and holding the artificial darkening very nicely. The zinc based hilt is near mint with just a bit of wear from the leather strap. The diamond is mint with a bit of wiggle we like to see. The scabbard is dent free and shows 95% of its original paint with what looks like initials scratched in the back. The leather is sill intact but is a bit crusty and fragile. The snaps are still in place and work properly. A really fantastic dagger in near mint condition. Hard to find like this!
