Description
To the best of my knowledge these cards were used by allied forces to try and track down members of the Gestapo (Sipo-SD) based in Prague. Many of the cards mention that the individuals were captured by US forces and then transferred in July 1945 to somewhere “unknown”. Apparently after that they lost them or they escaped. I’m sure with research you can at least get some idea of what happened to these guys. These come from the advanced collection of Jay Gillespie and are absolutely authentic, being produced just after the war. I’ve have not seen anything like these available in the collector market and it’s possible you will never get a chance to own one again. All cards are roughly 5.5in x 3.5 in on standard photo card stock. AGFA produced the cards so they have the same glossy look that period photos have. Card condition does vary as well as amount of gloss present. All cards are numbered, the highest we have is 37, but there may be more. Typical Agfa back with space for writing.
#29 is described as a Gestapo agent and Criminal secretary. This is one of the better condition cards out of the collection, with a mostly still glossy picture.
