Description

An unbelievable grouping from the family of a night fighter pilot who is listed in German Archives as KIA. The grouping paints a more complete picture of the pilot with lots of training and NSFK information as well as important KIA documents and Award documents.

The grouping includes:

-Lease agreement for Franz Maag (Father)

-Hitler Youth Call up order dated 1944 (brother?)

-NSFK Ausweiss for Oskar Maag

-Kenkarte for Oskar Maag that Lists his profession as an Airplane Carpenter

-1939 NSFK pay slip

-Pair of Death Cards that Say he was killed in Areial combat over Schleswig 1944

-Note card w/envelope dated Dec 1944 Condolences (for Oskars death) and Christmas wishes.

-Death Certificate dated Oct 15th 1944. Interestingly, “Fuhrer” s crossed off in pencil. Seemingly by the family. As if to disagree with Oskar dyeing for Hitler and showing discontent for the nazi regime.

-Pilot Badge document w/facsimile signature of General der Flieger Gustav Kastner-Kirdorf

-Condolence letter to his mother “Marie”

-Reichs Post Death notice Telegram dated Oct 16 1944

-NSFK Wage Notice March 1939

-Oskar’s Estate contents list from his base

-NSFK Certificate Stating he is in a Airplane carpenter and member of the Fire brigade

-Glider pilot NSFK Badge “A” Badge certificate serial number 43253

-NSFK Glider Towing Competence letters two of the same form, unique signatures, not photo copied. One short form and one long.

-Two later education discharge report cards

-1940 Flight Training letter and call up notice

-Carpenter Confirmation letter for NSFK school

-Letter of Recommendation from a Master Carpenter

-Letter or funeral Speech in handwritten form that mentions him being a night fighter

-5 fantastic photos of Maag. 2 he is in NSFK uniform, 1 is in civilian attire with a nice shot of his NSFK member pin and 2 in his Luftwaffe uniform with his Pilot badge.

-A Solid Tombak pilot badge by rare “OM” maker with case. The catch and pin show evidence of repairs.
