SMGO-1672 German s71-84 bayonet by Weyersberg

The knife bayonet that started it all! This one has a decent blade with field use wear but no major rust problems and still retains the factory edge. The guard is unit marked so you have some research potential there. The leather in the scabbard has some creases but they seem to be from long ago and the leather is ridged now. The staples holding the lower fitting in place are secure and the fitting is snug. The frog is in remarkable condition for it’s age. To be honest, im not sure if this is the original style frog that they came with or a later k98 type. The frog looks like it is stamped (8) on the back.
