SMGO-1671 M1898 Bayonet by Simpson & Co Matching numbers

A favorite typ of bayonet of mine with a huge 20.5inch blade! The blade is in good shape with some oxidation pitting, mostly at the tip. The edge is otherwise ding and nick free and retains the factory edge. The guard and scabbard are numbered 24669. It’s very nice to find these with matching numbers. the hilt is in excellent above average condition as well as the wood grips. The scabbard leather is in fantastic shape with no kinks or bends and only light wear. The upper and lower fitting seem to have been cleaned up a bit with steel wool or similar abrasive but still look great. sure to be one of the best discussion pieces in your man cave!
