SMGP-2450 Treuewerk pin

Treuewerk der Betriebsgemeinschaften der Luftfahrt. Association of aircraft manufacturers and suppliers of the air forces of the Third Reich. Commonly mis identified as an Airforce workers award pin (in a reference book as this incorrectly which is the source of the miss information).  No such evidence exists other than it was more or less a donation pin.

Attractive and well made pin with white and black enamels.

According to Jo Rivett:  “The Treuewerk, (an organization with no actual members) as well as the Treuewerkabzeichen, (and the actual reason(s) for the Treuewerk) are clearly explained in the October 15th issue of the UM. “Honor Awards” ” Unfortunately Jo has taken down his website where he goes into detail about these badges and discusses the article. This Honor Awards article I cannot find after Jo took his website down. I seem to recall, the article indicated the badge was not a merit award for workers in the aircraft industry.  Apparently, there are numerous fakes on the market and if we dissect some of Jo R’s Post on WAF regarding these, the raised letter version Ges Gesch are reproductions.
