SMGQ-0389 Heer Dagger by WKC
1 in stock
If you are in the market for a really clean Mid late period example this one will be tough to beat. The blade is an absolute screamer. There are some light runner marks and some small oxidation spots here and there. Overall the blade is a 9 out of 10 in my book. The cross guard is a beautifully silvered generic style which we do see from time to time on these later WKC daggers. WKC had it’s own very similar cross guard and this Type A generic is thought to have been designed by them too. The ferrule and scabbard are beautifully silvered to match. The scabbard is dent free and grades a 9 out of 10 as well. The grip has a heavy plaster fill that is similar to a wood putty. The grip is noticeably more robust and solid then other late period examples. The pommel is an aluminum example and does not meet your typical WKC expectations. It is possible it was replaced at some time, or it is possible WKC used this unfinished type supplied by another vendor due to shortages. Every rule was broken with late period daggers. This is a very handsome dagger overall.
