SMGQ-0414 Leopard Head Sword by Herder

1 in stock

A nice example made by Rich. A. Herder. The sword is just under 38 inches from blade tip to the top of the Leopard’s head. The hilt and all fittings are made of brass and are gilded. Most of the surface gilt has worn away but remains in the recesses. the grip is celluloid and the wire wrap is tight. There is a small amount of play in the grip and ferrule from being banged around over the years. The scabbard appears to have the original paint and is dent free. The drag has the name “D. Lord” scratched into the paint. The blade on this is steel and has a nickel finish on it. The nickel has faded over the years so it has a hazy muted look to it. It could be repolished if desired. There are some minor knicks to the blade from light sword play.  Not a perfect sword but a nice herder to add to your collection non the less.
