Description
A really nice war time example here with the smaller stamped logo on the blade. For this period, it is known that Eickhorn used generic fittings as the war was causing issues with material sourcing for them to make fittings in house. So, we see the appropriate generic guard and pommel. The guard has a small casting hole on the underside that unfortunately i did not see while taking pictures. Its the size of a pin head. The trolon grip is in great shape with light wear. The pommel fit is more than finger tight. The blade has hairline horizontal scuffing to it, likely from being cleaned with an abrasive of some sort. The blade still look rather good despite this. The blade has a real smooth and satisfying fit in the scabbard. The scabbard is a typical Eickhorn type with distinctive bands and unturned flush mount headless screws on the sides. It shows no major dents or oxidation and retains much of the original airplane grey finish. A real nice dagger that i was debating putting aside for my own collection.
