SMGP-2856 Luftwaffe M-42 Helmet

1538 on the neck skirt ET66 on the ear. Liner is partially deteriorated, possibly from blood as there is a thick black coating on the much of the remaining liner. The shell is dent free with some light oxidation. The eagle shows wear and is not perfect. There is an interesting metallic green paint around the lip of the helmet with remnants of the paint on the eagle and around the vents. Doesn’t seem like a war time color to me and maybe just some crazy paint job a kid did that was removed.
